Temp vs. Permanent Therapy Work

There are various types of therapy occupations in the health care industry. The most well-known jobs deal with physical rehabilitation and speech production. Physical therapists work with those whose bodies are feeling the effects of strains or breaks, whereas speech pathology positions involve working with speech patterns and techniques. Whether you would like to do temporary or permanent work as a therapist, the opportunities are abundant, if you have earned your degree.

One way to secure a permanent therapy job is to gain employment as a speech therapist in an educational system. School districts hire college graduates who have degrees in speech-language pathology to work with children who are having problems creating speech. In a school setting, therapists may read children’s books aloud so a group of kids can hear proper pronunciation or they may hold one-on-one sessions with students. The speed of success in helping children depends on the severity of the speech problem. Some children will need therapy for a year or less, while others may need more time to work on their problems.

Travel therapy jobs are available on a temporary basis. These opportunities let you see and live in different locations. If your circumstances allow you to travel and you enjoy meeting new people, this area of temporary therapy employment will be perfect for you. You can be employed to work as a substitute at an institution, school or hospital in various places. Filling in for professionals who are on maternity or medical leave can be rewarding and exciting. When deciding between temporary and permanent therapy work, go with the choice that will enhance your wallet as well as enrich your life.

Scrapbooking Difficult Times

Although the thought of scrapbooking invites positive thoughts, it is often the case that I have to consider those harder moments in life and whether to include these in the scrapbooks I am creating. Most of the time, people take photos of good events that they want to remember. People spend a great deal of time honoring their child’s birth and birthdays. You usually will not scrapbook about those down moments you feel or those events that do not bring up the most positive thoughts. However, this is something that you should consider doing in some unique situations.

When scrapbooking, consider those instances in your life that are life changing. Good or bad, they should be included in your next scrapbook. These events changed the course of your life and made you who you are today. But, what should you include and what shouldn’t you include?

This is a decision left up to you. It is one that you should consider based on your feelings towards a particular event. For example, many people go through addiction rehab for one thing or another. Because of this, they have a mixture of good and bad feelings about this experience. They may have had a life changing event happen at this facility and they want to remember the good that came from it. One example of this is when a friend went through the programs at LaPalomaTreatment.com.

This type of change can be beneficial to those looking for a way to improve their lives, but is it something you want to remember? For my friend, it is. The change was something she wanted to be able to focus on and so, she made a scrapbook of this event so that she could continuously remember it. It works as motivation for her as well; giving her the ability to remember the good and the bad of the experience.
